Nordic design house Andiata is rooted in Helsinki Finland, where the brand was founded in 1986 by Tarja Rantanen, who still operates as the head designer of the brand.  Andiata is known for its impeccable tailoring and attention to detail, mixing Nordic minimalism with Parisian femininity.

Andiata’s design studio is nestled at the urban district of Vallila, Helsinki, where the design team works closely together with the company’s own pattern makers and seamstresses, to produce the highest quality craftsmanship.

Head Designer & CEO of Andiata

Tarja Rantanen established her own fashion brand, Andiata
because she wanted to empower women by creating feminine yet modern garments fitting all ages. She is known for her hard working spirit and meticulous taste, which are the most valuable qualities in the fashion industry. This determination led Andiata into being one of the top business fashion brands in Finland. Tarja’s impeccable eye for color and fit landed her some of the most prestigious fashion awards in Finland – the highly distinguished Gloria fashion Award in 1998, the Golden hanger Award in 2002 and the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award in 2011. Her dedication and passion remains as the heart of Andiata – inspiring all entrepreneur women to pursue their dreams.

Matilda’s connection to fashion started when she was just an infant sleeping on top of Andiata’s fabric piles. Her path led to the center of fashion; Matilda recently graduated from a prestigious fashion marketing school in Paris, and is now taking more responsibility in the
family business. The international atmosphere influenced Matilda’s values and visions concerning the clothing industry. Step by step her youthful ideas are recreating the image of the brand, though still holding on to the core identity of Andiata. Alongside with her mother, they continue to inspire each other by creating every garment together with love.
